Set Sail with Global Travelers

Travel is in our name and in our mission.  We travel for service projects. We travel to seek out grant opportunities or to celebrate grants in progress. This year, we tried out travel for fundraising with great success. About a dozen of our members shared an adventure this fall cruising the Danube. And the “group compensation” they received from the travel company flowed back to us as a $5,000 donation to our Global Travelers Foundation. Building on that success, member Mike Philson has set up three more fun and fund-raising cruise opportunities for 2025 and 2026.

Hawaii flyer

Hawaii — December 2025

In December 2025, we are organizing several days of service in and around Honolulu. (Even in paradise, there is work to do.) On December 3 through 6, we will have service projects and visits to Honolulu sights.

On December 6 in the evening. we set sail on a 7-day Norwegian cruise to visit the islands of Maui, Hawaii (“Big Island”), and Kauai. Learn more about the cruise and register here

This is an a la carte event. You can choose just the Honolulu service and sight-seeing, just the cruise, or both. If we have enough participants, some portion of our cruise $ will come back to our Global Travelers Foundation as a donation.

Global Travelers Alaska cruise flyer

Alaska — May 2026

In May 2026, we have another “cruise and serve” opportunity. On May 15, 2026, you’ll sail from Vancouver, British Columbia on a Royal Caribbean cruise. For seven days, you’ll experience the majestic sights of our 49th state for 7 days, with stops in Sitka, Juneau, and Skagway. Learn more about the cruise and register here.

Our Alaska members Adam Hayes and Jess Gutzwiller are in the planning stages for service projects following the cruise in the Seward / Anchorage area.

Like the Hawaii event, this Alaska event is a la carte. You can choose to cruise, to do the service projects, or both. If we have enough cruisers, some portion of our cruise $ will return to our Global Travelers Foundation as a donation.

Gt cruise to South Pacific

South Pacific — December 2026

And how about a destination most of us have only dreamed about?  What better name for a cruise — Dreams of Tahiti. This cruise is pure fun and fundraising. Sailing on December 3, you’ll spend 7 days on the small Windstar luxury yacht (~300 passengers). You’ll visit Tahiti, Moorea, Raiatea, Taha’a, Bora Bora, and Huahine. A mouthful of tropical pleasure.

If we have enough participants, a portion of our cruise $ will come back to our Global Travelers Foundation as a donation. Learn more and register for this cruise here.
